Before I tell you about what "Oh no....... What is this!" is about, let me show you my note machine PC-MJ750R for building ooo, SRC680_m30 right now.
http://www.sharp.co.jp/products/pcmj760/text/p6.html
CPU 733MHz, MEM 192MB (maximum I extended to), HD 20GB
I divided the HD into two partitions half and half for SuSE 8.1 and WindowsME.
After checking out the SRC680_m30 source from cvs, I spare about 2.5GB for ooo building. I use ccache.
I hit dmake at 14:35 on March 17
and finished at 17:41 on Mach 18 by getting the sign of build completed successfully:
gtk: not found and couldn't be built
This shows it took 27h6m but it is not actual compilation time.
The build stopped twice at vcl and then at filter.
The build had to wait for me to be taken care of for a while.
It took time for me to find and apply the-completely-remove-gtk-from-vcl patch and to change the language encoding from ja_JP.eucJP to ja_JP.UTF-8.
So I guess the actual compilation time is 22-24h.
