On July 18 all Sotoyama people celebrated the 50-year anniversary of the start of their traditional folk entertainment "Shishi Odori" or "Deer Dance."
Sotoyama community is located in a mountain, 6 km from the center of Unosumai-cho, Kamaishi-shi, Iwate-ken, the nothern part of Japan mainland.
Their "shishi-gashira" or "deer heads" are fantastic!
