"3-3," March the 3rd, is the Girls Day in Japan.
Or another word, the Dolls Festival for girls.
It is also called the Ears Day. Why?
Because we pronounce "Mi" for "3" in Japanese.
Then "3-3" can be read "Mi-Mi."
And "Mi-Mi" means "Ears" in Japanese.
Anyway the Girls Day is not a holiday.
But "5-5," May the 5th, the Boys Day is a holiday.
It is called the Children's Day.
History and culture make the things complicated.
Let us be simple here.
The Girls Day is a sign "Spring is coming."
