Today, March 21st, is holiday in Japan,
Spring Equinox Day.
Today
Iwate Nichinichi Shimbun, Ichinoseki's local newspaper, reports on the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Head line: Number of missing and dead exceeds 20000.
Sub head line: 10 days after the quake, 350000 in evacuation centers.
Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department announced that the number of dead and missing is 20999 (8277 dead, 12722 missing).
More than 350000 people have been forced to evacuate.
I learned from
Ichnoseki homepage that evacuees from Rikuzentakada and Kesen'numa, coast areas next to my city, Ichinoseki, are staying in evacuation centers in Ichinoseki.
I will do my best to support them.
Today
Stefan Taxhet sent me donation from Team OpenOffice.org and
Matthias Huetsch's message.
Stefan Taxhet and Matthias Huetsch are members of
OpenOffice.org community council.
"Dear Kazunari Hirano, Team OpenOffice.org wishes to support your efforts in helping Earthquake victims. We wish you and all victims all the best. Best regards, Matthias Huetsch (for Team OpenOffice.org)"
